I’m Laura, jewellery magpie, accessories fanatic, time waster, sun seeker, mummy of two, and creator of The Lovely Edit. My aim for The Lovely Edit is to offer affordable, contemporary, meaningful and fun jewellery and accessories.
I’ve always believed that jewellery and accessories are a great way to add your personal style to any outfit, whether that's as simple as dressing up mom jeans and a white t-shirt, accessorising an LBD and killer heels, or in 2021, why not accessorise your loungewear!
The Lovely Edit was born late in 2017, towards the end of my first maternity leave. Having worked in various retail head offices for the previous 10 years, I had often sat at my desk day dreaming about creating my own brand and what that might look like. At first it was a small curated range of jewellery from small independent brands and creators that I started off selling to friends and family, and through word of mouth it slowly grew.
As I love to be creative I also designed and made one bracelet - the 'Skinny' Birthstone Bracelet (that is still in the range today), and that quickly proved to be my most popular piece. I decided to expand on that and in 2020 I launched The Lovely Edit own range of handmade jewellery, designed and made by me!
'Jewellery with meaning for you' are words that I really try to keep at the core of The Lovely Edit. As well as the birthstone bracelet, my signature designs include freshwater pearls and semi precious stones all with lovely meanings and healing energies behind them. Many designs can be personalised with a name or initials as well.
I always use sterling silver or gold vermeil metals, alongside freshwater pearls, semi precious stones, Swarovski crystals and high quality glass beads, giving affordable, durable, quality styles that you will love to wear.
I am so grateful to be able to create my jewellery and I love this journey that my brand is on. Each piece of jewellery purchased from The Lovely Edit is still handmade by me, in my little Essex studio, with a lot of love and care.
