Multi award winning high contrast illustrations for babies and toddlers, bringing to life animals from all over the world.
Eyesight in young babies is limited for the first months of their life. The eyes are fully developed, however, their brains are not yet mature enough to process all of the things they see. So it is believed that the most effective images for young babies to look at to help their development are high contrast shapes and patterns.
I have a great passion for wildlife and a love for travel, so animals from around the world felt like a natural fit.
Each book and set of flash cards has 12 animals in black and white, native to the specific region where they live. I wanted to keep it super simple, clean, but fun. Something grown ups would enjoy looking at as much as children.
As an advocate of conscious consumerism, I believe it is possible for both people and planet to profit and I am keen that this project is able to give a little something back to the animals that inspired me. That's why 25% of my profits are donated to wildlife and conservation charities worldwide.
We are proud to have won silver at the MadeForMums Award 2018 in the baby and toddler category, coming second to Usborne books and above Penguin Random House. This is a huge achievement for a small, self published business, and means even more that it was judged by mums as well as an expert panel.
Most recently we also won Silver in the Junior Design Awards 2018.
