Product description

Woven from the finest flax, our table linens are enduring classics, sporting a whole medley of mix-and-match hues.

Hand-sewn from stone-washed linen, our tablecloth is a timeless backdrop for any table setting. The kind of linen that will stay at the top of the drawer you use so often.

Leave it out for everyday use (we like it a little wrinkly) and iron it crispy when you want to get a little extra fancy. And don't worry about spill - like all fine linen textiles, these pieces mellow beautifully over the years, becoming softer every time they're washed.

Made from

  • Made in Europe from long-staple flax
  • Laundered at the mill for extra softness

WHY OUR LINEN From field to fibre, from yarn to fabric, the making of our linen tells a fascinating story.⁣ After harvest, the flax is tied together in large bales and taken to the mill to extract the fibre, a manual process known as scutching, which is when the first quality of the flax is assessed. The best quality fabrics require long staple fibres to make the finest yarns, and the scutching stage will influence the ratio of long fibres versus short fibres. Shorter fibres, known as tows, are usually used to produce low count yarns. ⁣Long flax fibres, regarded as the noble part of the plant, make exquisite fabrics, and their high value is carried out to the end-product. That said, choices like this are why The Linen Works has been critic-approved, customer-adored for over 15 years, and why our bed linen collection, an “evergreen” for The Linen Works, comes with a 50-year warranty.
