This is an Oyster tasting and each dish will be accompanied by an English wine or rather surprisingly a fabulous English cider. The Oysters will come alongside Bread & Butter, and Hand Cut Chips with traditional Chip Shop Curry Sauce!

What is it about an Oyster? They look rather fabulous to start off with, as they nestle decadently in the middle of an iridescent shell. What started off as a dietary staple for the poor, frequently referred to by Dickens, it is now a luxury item, and a supposed aphrodisiac.
The Grand Duchess is one of the best places to taste this delicious shellfish. For a start as the name suggests it’s a boat, permanently moored in London’s Paddington Basin so you can watch the ducks and see the water, in simple, but rather glamorous surroundings. It is owned by the London Shell Co. who own two boats and a fishmongers. They are dedicated to sourcing the best British seafood.
