The Starter Series makes five fresh cheeses: mozzarella, ricotta, mascarpone, burrata and chevre, each with a simple step by step recipe you can finish in a few hours. Warm the milk, set the curds with vegetarian rennet or citric acid, drain in the cheesecloth and follow the recipe for your cheese. Every recipe is obsessively tested with standard supermarket milk, so there are no specialist ingredients to hunt down. A lovely first kit for curious cooks and a thoughtful small gift for anyone who loves good food. Suitable for vegetarians and made in the UK.

Made from

Vegetarian microbial rennet, citric acid, Himalayan pink cheese salt, unbleached cotton cheesecloth, measuring scoop and pipette, and a step by step recipe booklet, packed in a printed gift box. You add fresh whole milk from the supermarket (fresh goat milk for the chevre) and use your own large pan and kitchen thermometer. Shelf life 24 months from packing, best before date printed on the box. Store in a cool, dry place. Hand wash the cheesecloth and air dry between uses.
