Official Harry Potter Mirror Of Erised Keyring

Erised is desire spelt backwards, and the famous mirror shows whoever looks into it the deepest wish of their heart. If your wish is to never lose your keys again, this keyring is a good start. The ornate frame is finished in gold tone with a mirror effect centre, on a key ring with a lobster clip.

Supplied on Harry Potter branded card packaging. Officially licensed Harry Potter accessory.

Harry finds the mirror in an empty classroom during his first winter at Hogwarts, while he's exploring the castle under his Invisibility Cloak. When he looks into it he sees his parents and his family smiling back at him. Ron sees something quite different, himself as Head Boy and Quidditch captain, holding the House Cup.

Dumbledore warns Harry that people have wasted away in front of it, because the mirror shows neither knowledge nor truth. He later uses it to hide the Philosopher's Stone, so only someone who wants to find the Stone but not use it can get hold of it. It's one of the cleverest bits of the first book.

The mirror effect centre gives it a vintage feel on a set of keys, and it suits readers who prefer the quieter, more thoughtful side of the story. It's a lovely pick for a long time fan's birthday, or as a small thank you for someone who means a lot to you.
