Description
Authentic Pallasite Meteorite, expertly crafted into a wall-hanging box frame in our British Art Studio.Pallasite meteorites are a class of stoney-iron meteors. They are known for being a relatively rare specimen. Pallasite’s are distinguished by their olivine crystals located within its ferro-nickel matrix. These crystals represent mantle and core material, which were destroyed during the early formation of our Solar System.
Whilst Pallasite meteorites are rare, there is enough material for Pallasites to be displayed in museums and collections, as several large finds yielded more than a metric ton in weight.
This Pallasite Meteorite (4.5 billion years old) has been mounted in a museum quality deep box frame by a member of our in-house team.
