The Holkham, originating in Norfolk, is our most popular bat and most closely follows the traditional frescobol recipe of five stripes.
Our beach bats are handmade in Britain from high-quality, sustainably-sourced Britsh woods.
For every set of bats our customers purchase, we are proud to plant a tree in Oxfordshire as our small way of putting something back and ensuring that we contribute towards improving biodiversity and enhancing our sustainability credentials.
Whether being purchased as a 30th, 40th or 50th Birthday present, a housewarming gift, a corporate gift or a 5th Wedding Anniversary gift (wood) our bats are original, handmade and designed to last a lifetime.
Variations
All of our Beach Bats can be personalised.
Whether they’re for your own enjoyment or a gift for someone else, they are engraved with your personal choice of either a name, initials, house name or corporate logo which are designed and pre-approved by you before we laser engrave the bats in the style of your choice. The bats are then finished with several coats of long lasting varnish and are finally wrapped with your choice of coloured grip, for options see the image above.
Our craftsmen number and name each set of Beach Bats and hide their unique makers-mark under the grip – a personal endorsement of their handiwork.

The Beach Bat Company bats are handmade in the UK from local wood which is FSC certified and therefore from sustainably grown sources. They are satin varnished and waterproof.
We are proud of the quality of our bats and we make them to last a lifetime. If your bats require a fresh set of grips (£5 per set + postage) or re-varnishing (free + postage) after a few years, we would be happy to have them back to give them a makeover for you.
