Sedgwick’s First Selection, English Bridle Butt Leather with a 2.9cm solid stainless steel roller buckle.
From the supplier with the Royal Warrant and used in horse harness, Sedgwick's best bridle leather is world renowned for its strength, durability, density and lustre, and when new, likes to be broken in.
Each strap is cut from a single layer of leather... it cannot delaminate, needs no stitching around the edges to hold it together and will not split at the holes in the same way as those available from big brand retailers.
The solid stainless steel buckle has the strength to last for the lifetime of the wearer and beyond! This style bears a 'roller' which helps the strap roll smoothly over the buckle, thus reducing stresses on the leather's top surface.
NB: As this buckle's metal is stainless steel, it cannot be guaranteed to be nickel-free. If the wearer has a strong nickel sensitivity it may be wiser to opt for a fully carbon fibre buckle.
