It all began with a little pot plant that got too big ...
I had of a vision a softly fringed hanger for that little plant, in my minds eye it was natural, softly flowy and would bring a feminine boho vibe to my living room corner. My search could find nothing that came close to that idea ... and so began my creative journey into macrame.
My background is in interiors, furniture painting, soft furnishings, paint effects, photography and styling. For me this kind of creative outlet is not only enjoyable but hugely satisfying and therapeutic .... especially true during lockdown.
I was vaguely familiar with the craft of macrame, and so I researched techniques and materials, delving into the world of 60s and 70s pattern designs ... and was totally hooked.
It has been three years since I made that first voluptuously fringed plant hanger and I am more enthusiastic than ever. I want to share my creations because I think they are unique, each a bit like a snowflake, created loving by hand.
