Each personalised decal is precision-cut from premium ORACAL® self-adhesive film, selected according to the chosen colour and finish. There is no printed rectangular background; once applied, only the individual lettering remains on the surface.
Depending on the chosen colour and finish, decals are made using ORACAL® 351 or ORACAL® 651.
ORACAL® 351 is a premium metallised polyester (PET) film with excellent dimensional stability and permanent adhesive. It is specifically designed for precision computer-controlled cutting and is suitable for decorative lettering, labels and symbols.
ORACAL® 651 is a durable blended polymer PVC film with a permanent adhesive and a smooth matt or gloss surface. It is designed for cut lettering and decorative graphic applications and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
Your personalised lettering is supplied with transfer tape to help position and apply the design accurately.
For best results, apply at temperatures of at least 10°C to a clean, completely dry, smooth and non-porous surface. Position the sticker carefully, press the lettering firmly into place, smooth across the whole design and slowly peel away the transfer tape.
When applying to curved surfaces such as baubles or glasses, work gradually from the centre outwards.
Please take extra care when applying decals to paper, cardboard or coated gift packaging. The permanent adhesive may lift or mark the surface if the decal is later removed, so damage-free removal cannot be guaranteed.
For glassware, apply to the exterior only and keep away from the drinking rim and food-contact areas. Hand washing is recommended to help preserve the decal.
Do not apply to skin. Keep away from open flames and high heat. This is a decorative item and not a toy; keep small pieces away from young children.
Stickers are sold by approximate overall length and are available from 5 cm to 30 cm.
The selected size refers to the approximate width of the completed wording. The finished height varies according to the number of characters and proportions of the lettering.
For gift boxes and bags, measure the available space before choosing your size.
As a general guide:
• 5 cm – suitable for many 5–8 cm baubles• 8 cm – suitable for many 10–13 cm baubles• 10 cm – suitable for many 15–20 cm baubles• 5–8 cm – commonly suitable for glasses• 8–10 cm – commonly suitable for crackers• 8–13 cm – commonly suitable for envelopes
