Each personalised decal is precision-cut from premium ORACAL® self-adhesive film, selected according to the chosen colour and finish. Only the individually cut lettering remains after application, so there is no printed or clear rectangular background around the design.
Depending on the chosen finish, decals are made using ORACAL® 351 premium metallised polyester film and ORACAL® 651 blended polymer PVC film.
ORACAL® 351 is a metallised polyester (PET) film with excellent dimensional stability and permanent adhesive. It is specifically developed for computer-controlled precision cutting and is suitable for decorative lettering and symbols.
ORACAL® 651 is a durable blended polymer PVC film with a permanent adhesive and a smooth gloss or matt finish. It is designed for cut lettering and decorative applications and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Your personalised lettering is supplied with transfer tape to help position and apply it accurately.
For best results, apply at a temperature of at least 10°C to a clean, completely dry, smooth and non-porous surface. Position the sticker carefully, press the lettering firmly into place, smooth over the design and slowly peel away the transfer tape.
When applying to curved surfaces such as baubles or glasses, work gradually from the centre outwards.
The adhesive is permanent, although decals may be removable from some suitable smooth surfaces. Removal results vary depending on the surface and length of time applied. Paper, cardboard and some coated gift boxes or bags may mark or lift if the decal is removed.
For glassware, apply to the exterior only and keep away from the drinking rim and food-contact areas.
Do not apply to skin. Keep away from open flames and high heat. This is a decorative item and not a toy; keep small pieces away from young children.
Stickers are sold by approximate overall length and are available from 5 cm to 30 cm.
The selected size refers to the approximate width of the finished wording. The final height varies depending on the number of letters and shape of the name.
As a guide:
• 5 cm – suitable for many 5–8 cm baubles• 8 cm – suitable for many 10–13 cm baubles• 10 cm – suitable for many 15–20 cm baubles• 5–8 cm – suitable for many glasses• 8–10 cm – suitable for Christmas crackers• 8–13 cm – suitable for envelopes
