Each personalised decal is precision-cut from ORACAL® 351 premium metallised polyester film, a professional-quality material manufactured by ORAFOL for decorative labels, lettering, nameplates and precision plotter-cut applications. The material features excellent dimensional stability, helping fine lettering retain its shape after application.
ORACAL 351 uses a permanent solvent-polyacrylate adhesive designed to provide reliable adhesion to suitable clean, smooth surfaces. The standard metallised film is approximately 23 microns thick, creating slim, refined lettering rather than a bulky raised sticker.
The material has also been tested for water resistance, showing no change after 100 hours when adhered to aluminium, and offers resistance to oils, greases, weak acids, salts, alkalis and household washing solutions. ORAFOL specifies short-term temperature resistance from approximately -40°C to +120°C, depending on application conditions.
Each design is supplied with transfer tape already applied. Once transferred, there is no clear or white rectangular background surrounding the design—only the precision-cut lettering remains, creating the elegant personalised appearance shown in the photographs.
For best adhesion, apply to a clean, dry, smooth surface free from dust, grease or polish. Very textured, porous or fabric surfaces may not be suitable.
Available in sizes from 5cm to 30cm, making the decals suitable for everything from small gift boxes and favour packaging to larger Christmas Eve boxes, hampers and presentation bags.
The selected measurement refers to the approximate overall width of the finished decal design. The final height varies according to the length of the name, wording, number of lines and natural proportions of the calligraphy.
For example, a short first name will be shallower than wording such as “Oscar’s Christmas Eve Box” at the same selected width.
Measure the usable flat area of your box or bag before ordering and select the closest suitable decal width.
