These waterproof coats look great, are made from recycled fabric are super hard wearing and they can be repaired.
Designed and made in Cambridge UK, our coats are recycled from army surplus tents. They are great for every day wear and for the great outdoors. We have used these jackets on walking, cycling and climbing adventures. They have proved to be windproof, waterproof and very breathable. The fabric performs like a heavy weight version of ventile material. This is a tightly woven dense un-coated cotton which relies on the tightness of the weave to stop water penetrating the fabric. Of course, prolonged drenching water will eventually saturate the fabric and seams. The Cags will give you many years of service, plus should they get damaged they can be repaired. We love the simple over the head design especially with the modern splash proof zips and colourful climbing cord. The jackets are available in a desert or woodland camouflage pattern. The design also incorporates a long zip up the side seam as well as draw cords around the waist and hood.As the jackets are made from recycled tents, we try to cut around any imperfections like stains or holes. However this may not always be possible and there may be evidence of a repair or mark. If you wish to have some extra material for future repairs, please send us a message when ordering. The Cags can be machine washed but we recommend not washing very often as each wash will cause some damage to the material and reduce its longevity.
