We are a family-owned artisanal spice company run by mother and son team Sanjay & Shashi Aggarwal (aka Mamma Spice & Baby Spice!). Sanjay and Shashi share a common goal: to honour their Indian heritage and make their ancestors proud. That they can inspire so many to create authentic dishes and drinks in the process is a bonus!

We are a mother and son team producing award winning spices, spice blends and gin botanicals with items for the keen home cook as well as gifts for your loved ones. We started Spice Kitchen with one aim in mind – to inspire people to experiment with flavour and create their own delicious family favourites.
Spice Kitchen spices are sourced by us from growers and suppliers all over the world, meaning we personally guarantee the finest quality and flavour.
Shashi Aggarwal – AKA Mamma Spice – believes that food and family are the greatest paths to happiness in life. And this is the ethos we live by today.
In 1962, Shashi first learned to cook with spices. At just 9 years of age – together with her mother and sisters – she was preparing family meals and learning the traditional methods of making breads, curries, vegetable and rice dishes from scratch. The food was humble yet hearty, and mealtimes were always filled with love. Mamma Spice – as Shashi is now affectionately known – has continued to cook with the same love for her family and friends right to the present day.
