Shakti.ism is a non-profit social enterprise featuring sustainable, handmade products crafted by empowered artisan women in India, Nepal, and Bangladesh.
We preserve local skills and traditions, to have a positive environmental impact, and to empower women from marginalised communities by providing meaningful and stable employment along with fair living wages.
Our items are truly unique, from pouches, carryall bags and scarves made of upcycled sari fabric, to meticulously stitched kantha cushion covers and blankets, and colourful hand-block printed textiles. We work directly with our artisan partners, ensuring full transparency, ethical working conditions and wages for the women we empower and employ, and sustainability in sourcing and production.
Shakti.ism partners with grassroots women's and girls' NGOs, ensuring fair working conditions, safe, supportive working and community spaces, and encouraging entrepreneurship to break the cycle of poverty.
