Each box is made from 100% recycled card and contains 6 seed balls with native wildflower seeds, plus a little card to explain what the seed balls are and how to use them. What’s more, it doesn’t require any digging or expertise to use – simply scatter the seed balls on top of soil or compost and nature will do the rest (although watering regularly will speed along).
One box is enough to cover 1-2 pots, making it a fun, cute gift for both little and big ones!
Each seed ball contains approximately 30 native wildflower seeds for bees from a mix of Birdsfoot Trefoil, Cornflower, Red Clover, Viper’s Bugloss and Wild Marjoram – all recommended as bee-friendly plants by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust.

Seed Box Dimensions: 58mm x 37mm x 15mm. Each ball is approximately 1cm diameter, 6 balls per box.
Made from
Wildflower seeds, clay, peat free compost and chilli powder.
We make the balls ourselves from a mixture of UK wildflower seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder. The outer clay protects the seeds from ants, birds and mice, and once sufficient water has permeated the clay, the seeds inside begin to germinate - helped along by the nutrients and minerals contained within the ball. The chilli powder continues to deter slugs and snails while the seed ball slowly degrades and the seeds sprout. Wildflowers are naturally slow to grow and the balls can take 2-4 weeks to begin to sprout. Some will flower in the first year and others may not flower until the second year, but the display should keep getting better each year! The more they are initially watered, the quicker they will be to start to grow, although they will be ok to leave them to the rain to water them as well :)
