A Quiet Study in Colour
There is something quietly meaningful about a piece that has been made by hand.
Each painting begins as a small study, a moment observed, held, and translated into colour. From these, I create original works on paper, and the smaller pieces you see here: note cards and miniature paintings, each one painted individually in my studio.
They are not reproduced or repeated. Each carries its own slight variation, a reminder of the hand behind it, and the moment it was made.
These are pieces to be kept, given, and returned to.

My work begins with small studies, moments observed in nature and held for a little longer. These are translated into watercolour, where each mark remains visible, each movement intentional.
From these studies, I create original works on paper, along with smaller pieces such as note cards and miniature paintings. Each one is painted individually in my studio, rather than reproduced, allowing for slight variations to emerge naturally.
I’ve always been drawn to the idea that objects can hold something of the moment they were made in. A certain stillness, a sense of time passing gently.
These pieces are made to be lived with, to be kept, given, and returned to over time.
