Sadie Dorchester specialises in customisable, made to measure, artistically upholstered, colour block storage furniture and ottomans.

I was inspired to make my range of furniture when I was unable to find sustainable, British made contemporary storage solutions for my own home. Following a successful career in fashion publishing whilst living in Cape Town, I retrained in upholstery upon my return to the UK. Interiors obsessed and a lifetime crafter I feel so delighted that I have been able to follow my dream of becoming a designer maker based in a beautiful seaside studio in sunny Hastings.

Specialising in ottomans, blanket boxes and storage benches with a unique colour block aesthetic the range is inspired by the modernist art movement. Upholstered inside and out using recycled Italian wool or linens the range offers beautiful, handmade yet functional furniture that can be custom made to suit your interior.

All of my designs are available as adaptable made to measure templates and are available in numerous colour palettes. If you don't see combinations that can work in your interior then don't hesitate to contact me. Any thing is possible! Interior fabrics and accessory profiles can also be sourced and each piece be made to measure at no extra cost.

The range is made to be as eco friendly as possible using natural materials such as FSC certified solid wood frames, natural latex, wool and cotton. No foam, polyester of ply-wood is used.
