About this product

Description

The gift we're best known for, and an easy one to get right this Christmas. It won Gift of the Year 2023 from the Giftware Association and featured on ITV's This Morning.

Inside: a rub for the steak, an oil that gets chips properly crisp, truffle mayonnaise for dipping and a salt that adds salt and vinegar flavour without soggy chips.

Ideal for dads, husbands, brothers and anyone who takes steak seriously, as a cosy autumn treat or under the tree. Blended and hand packed in small batches in Broadway in the Cotswolds.

Variations

This kit is the four piece version and the one most people buy. The same range also comes as the three piece Steak And Chips Gift Tube if you want a smaller gift.

What is in the box and what each part does: Roast Potato Oil, 250ml. Cold pressed British rapeseed oil infused with smoke, rosemary and garlic. It has a very high smoke point, which is what lets you get chips and roast potatoes genuinely crisp rather than soft. Use it for triple cooked chips, roast potatoes and anything you want browned hard.

Steak Rub for Beef, 50g. A dry rub with sweet, smoky and umami notes, built around paprika, ancho, chipotle and guajillo chilli with mushroom powder for depth. Rub it into the steak fifteen minutes before it hits the pan. The chilli gives warmth rather than heat.

Truffle Mayonnaise, 110g. Made with cold pressed rapeseed oil infused with white truffle. Use it as a dip for the chips or a sauce alongside the steak.

Salt & Vinegar Salt, 50g. Awarded one star in the Great Taste Awards 2021. It gives you the salt and vinegar flavour without the vinegar making anything soggy, so chips stay crisp. There is no personalisation on this kit.
