Roast Beef Rub, Christmas Beef Seasoning

Beef on Christmas Day is a big moment and a bigger cut of meat, so the seasoning should earn its place.

This rub is sweet and smoky with a savoury depth, built on paprika, ancho, chipotle and guajillo chilli with mushroom powder.

It gives the joint a dark, flavourful crust without overpowering the beef.

Ideal for whoever's doing the rib of beef this year, and an easy stocking filler or Secret Santa for a keen cook.

Blended and hand packed in small batches in Broadway in the Cotswolds.

How to use it. Pat the joint dry, rub it with a little oil, then press the seasoning all over. Leave it for an hour at room temperature, sear it hard in a hot pan and roast to your liking. Rest it well before carving.

It's just as good on steaks, burgers, brisket and beef for the barbecue, and a pinch in gravy adds depth. The chilli gives warmth, not heat.

This rub is part of our British Roast range. You'll also find it in the British Roast Dinner Trio alongside our lamb and chicken rubs, and in the Steak And Chips gifts as our Steak Rub for Beef.
