Quoart

About

Notable, quotable portraits.

I created Quoart in the year 2020, amidst lock-down home-schooling & home-renovating. Thinking about what I wanted to put on my walls once our renovations were completed, I realised that what I really wanted were some bold, colourful pieces, that said something about our passions, & made us smile.

I couldn't find the right sort of bright, bold, portraits of my idols anywhere, so decided to start creating them. I've always drawn, so I thought it would be easy - famous last words! After many months of trial and error, samples, material testing, packaging sourcing, & IT malfunctions, my first collection was ready to go - true, this was made up of a bijou collection of my own personal heroes - Bowie, Beethoven, Dickens, Dali, Kahlo - but requests for commissions soon followed & the collection has grown & grown!

I hope you find your favourite amongst my collection of portraits, or please feel free to get in touch to request a commission. Personalised portraits of people and pets are also available, perfect for gifts.

Every dot and line...

I draw my portraits digitally, with absolutely no help from automatic art-software such as photoshop!

Every dot & line is hand-drawn by me, which means you get a carefully crafted, totally unique piece of art when you commission a portrait.

My core collection is of Notable, Quotable figures, featuring boldly coloured two-tone portraits with a quote from the subject. I also create bespoke portraits of pets, people, or even a beloved home or special place.
