Mood enhancing scents to refresh your home.
The idea for Purscents was born from a personal journey. Maame’s husband often got headaches from the synthetic fragrances in the candles she loved, and a cupboard full of empty jars felt wasteful.
One afternoon, sitting in a garden café surrounded by natural, calming scents, she felt inspired to create something better, candles kind to both people and the planet. For those who want their homes to feel calm, smell beautiful, and reflect conscious choices.
Growing up in Ghana, Maame saw the effects of deforestation and plastic waste firsthand. These experiences shaped her commitment to promoting sustainability and ethical values.

WAX
100% plant-based blend of rapeseed and coconut wax. Rapeseed grows in the UK and in Europe and so it has a low carbon footprint and coconut is harvested by hand and doesn’t require pesticides or fertilizer. Our wax is biodegradable, non-GMO, and offers a clean, long-lasting burn.
DIFFUSER BASE
100% vegetable glycerin derived from renewable sources. It is vegan, cruelty free, biodegradable and not harmful to human, animals, or the environment.
SCENTS
Forget overbearing, synthetic fragrances. We only use 100% pure essential oils and extracts in our products because its not just about making your home ‘smell nice’. Our scents are designed to have therapeutic effects and, hopefully, enhance your wellbeing too.

Our high quality food safe jars and bottles are easy to repurpose as the perfect storage in the home.
WICK & REEDS
Crafted from cotton, our wicks are free from any other artificial substances and our reeds are 100% rattan wooden sticks.
