Description
An early Victorian mahogany large chest of drawers with a warm, even tone and fine grain arranged in a two-over-three configuration with graduated drawers. Oval pressed brass handles and escutcheons, with simple cockbeaded fronts and shaped bracket feet below.
The restrained design reflects the transition from late Georgian to early Victorian taste, favouring clean lines and proportion over heavy ornament.
Condition:
Very good antique condition with only minor signs of age and use. Structurally solid. Any damage, however minor, is always noted in the description.
