Royal Birds is a part of our ‘Murraqqa’ Collection. A departure from the realistic study of animals that the mughal artists often took up, this piece takes inspiration from the forms and juxtaposes them with often used patterns in Mughal art and architecture to create an avant- grade look.

Our ‘Muraqqa’ collection, inspired by the art of Mughal storytelling through miniatures, adapts motifs, patterns and structures in vibrant colours, retelling stories in a contemporary style.

Designed by Artist Zoya Chaudhry in Singapore. For illustrations on the cushions she uses traditional, intricate and time-consuming drawing techniques.

Made from

The durable cloth used for this cushion is a mix of satin and polyester that holds on to the colour pigments thus the bright colours never run. For every cushion the back colour and piping have been carefully chosen to compliment and enhance the print.
