Bring striking tropical foliage into your indoor space with the beautiful Dieffenbachia ‘Camille’, commonly known as Dumb Cane. This attractive evergreen houseplant features broad leaves with creamy centres surrounded by bright green margins, creating a distinctive variegated display. RHS recognises ‘Camille’ as an accepted Dieffenbachia cultivar with a naturally bushy habit.
Supplied in a 19cm nursery pot with an approximate 3Ltr capacity, Dieffenbachia Camille is an excellent choice for larger indoor foliage displays. Its lush, upright growth makes it particularly attractive in living rooms, offices, conservatories and other warm indoor spaces.
For best results, position the plant in bright, filtered or indirect light and grow in moist but well-drained compost. Water moderately during active growth, keeping the compost just moist during winter and avoiding prolonged waterlogging. Dieffenbachia Camille requires warm conditions and RHS gives it an H1A hardiness rating, meaning it should be grown under heated indoor conditions year-round in the UK.
