My name is Katy and I am the founder of Pixiecraft. Pixiecraft specialises in hand embroidered art and homewares. I taught myself to sew in 2011 having never undertaken any needlework before, I quickly fell in love with the process but felt limited by the designs and so I began to create my own original designs. In 2012 Pixiecraft was born with a focus on intricate and inspiring pieces designed to spread joy. Over the years I have developed into creating whimsical impressions of wildlife and have brought out a range of miniature wearable embroideries. In 2016 I released the first hand embroidery kit and I am now releasing new kits and patterns regularly.The foundations of Pixiecraft have always been about creating beautiful, delicate work which is stitched completely by hand and can spread joy which stays key to the business to this day.
Pixiecraft is now very much a family affair. As a single parent the two Little Pixies who I home educate are an important part of the business and can often be found helping to label boxes and apply stickers to packaging.
