Modern, bold and accessible embroidery kits designed and made by Sara in Norwich, UK

Hi, I'm Sara, the designer and maker behind Pixels & Purls. I make and teach all things embroidery from my studio in Norwich - from embroidery kits and patterns to needle minders and more!?

I have a real passion for crafting, which started with knitting in 2013. A while later, I got obsessed with crochet, then cross stitch and eventually embroidery in 2017. I love all needlecrafts but I really love the freedom and endless options in embroidery, and passing this passion on to others by leading workshops and craft parties is my favourite thing to do.

All of my designs start life in my sketch book and then get transferred into Procreate and Illustrator to be tidied and jazzed up. I take great pride in my colour palettes and fabric. I will try endless combinations until the textiles look just right. I also love creating the type of patterns I struggled to find when I started embroidering - alternative, contemporary takes on florals and pop culture inspired pieces.

My embroidery kits

Everything you need to embrace a new hobby

My hand embroidery kits include everything you need to get started: fabric with the design printed on, high-quality embroidery floss, a UK-made FSC certified wooden embroidery hoop, full instructions and the needle. Just add scissors and stitch away!

I only use high quality materials, all paper goods are recycled or recyclable and there's no plastic packaging.
