Welcome to Pins and Needles,
Pins and Needles started because of my experience of working as a Children's Nanny, I saw how treasured the first squiggles of a child's handwriting could be, and wanted to find a way to turn them into a long-lasting artwork that could be kept for years to come.
I developed a way of accurately reproducing handwriting and drawings onto fabric using the technique of freehand machine embroidery, which is similar to writing or drawing, but using fabric and a sewing machine instead of a paper and pen.
This has developed into a range of different products, my most popular being the embroidered recipe. Artworks can be framed, or stretched onto canvas to create a personalised artwork, and a unique, thoughtful gift.
I also have a range of other products including wall art, and greeting cards, all of which featured freehand embroidery.
