Petiquette handmade leather dog collars are fabulously soft from the moment you wrap it around your dogs neck. The supple, butter soft leather is also hard wearing enough for every day use and can be made in any of our contemporary leather colours to best suit your dog.

How to measure your dog's neck for a leather dog collar

The most important thing to remember is NOT TO MEASURE THE TOTAL LENGTH OF AN EXISTING COLLAR.

The first method is to measure the circumference of your dog's neck using a soft tape measure or piece of string.

Wrap a soft tape measure or piece of string around the middle of the neck so that it is fairly snug against the fur. Don't put any fingers underneath the tape measure.
This measurement is your dog's neck size.
Take a look at our size chart and select a collar size where the neck measurement you have taken sits comfortably within.
For example, a collar with the a size range of 9"-11" can be adjusted to fit dog's with necks of sizes from 9" up to 11". If your dog has a neck measurement of 10", you would choose this size.
DO NOT MEASURE THE TOTAL LENGTH OF A COLLAR, IT WILL RESULT IN YOU RECEIVING THE WRONG SIZE FOR YOUR DOG.

Petiquette collars are cut from soft Italian leather hides. Unlike many firm leather collars which can feel quite rigid, our collars are soft and supple from the moment you receive them, but are still hard wearing enough for every day use.

To increase the life of your Petiquette leather dog collar, we recommend that you clean them with a soft damp cloth, and allow to dry away from direct sunlight. Applying a little leather cream now and again can also help keep our collars in tip top condition.
