What Is Bonded Leather?

Bonded leather is a sustainable material made by collecting and repurposing leftover leather scraps from the manufacturing process. These discarded pieces are shredded into fibres, combined with a polyurethane binder, and then pressed onto a backing, often made of fabric or paper, to form a smooth, leather-like surface.

This process not only minimises industrial leather waste but also transforms what would otherwise end up in landfills into a functional and visually appealing material.

While bonded leather is often seen as a more affordable option compared to genuine, full-grain or top-grain leather, it offers unique advantages in both sustainability and versatility.

Personalise with the recipient's initials or a special date and create a unique leather keepsake. We allow upto the character limit of 5 letters or a special date of 8 characters, please use a ? for a heart symbol.

Be aware that as this is made of a natural leather material there is a small chance of imperfections and natural inclusions which we feel actually heightens the organic nature of the product.
