At Paper Willow we use our own drawings and paintings, combined with modern graphic design to create colourful and unique stationery.
Paper Willow started in 2012 when a friend asked me to design her wedding stationery. I had just completed a graphic design qualification and was wondering how to put it to good use. I quickly found that drawing and painting my own graphic elements (everything that’s not text) meant I could create original and creative wedding collections that would appeal to couples looking for nature-inspired designs.
Over the years I have invested in professional equipment, meaning that I could design and make my wedding stationery collections myself from start to finish. This means I have control over every aspect of the stationery and am able to guarantee excellent quality and finish.
During the Pandemic I focused my time on painting new collections. I grew my own wildflower meadow to give me a range of real flowers to use in my paintings. I widened the range of stationery offered to include matching notecard sets, notebooks and letter writing gift sets.

Paper Willow was the winner of Hitched.co.uk Breakthrough Awards (Best New Stationery Company) 2014 and was the winner of County Brides North West Wedding Awards (Best Stationery Company) 2015.
Almost all Paper Willow stationery is printed and cut in our garden studio. We print to heavy luxury cardboard and paper that has been responsibly sourced. We use a high quality professional standard graphics printer and all stationery is cut and folded using hand tools.
Our designs are created using individual paintings and drawings that are sometimes created with real paint and are sometimes painted using a digital pencil. The elements are assembled digitally.
We have a strong environmental ethos at Paper Willow; we use recyclable/ biodegradable packing materials and we always walk to the post office to reduce our carbon footprint. Everything we produce is recyclable or biodegradable.
