    This cute handmade festive penguin trivet will set the scene and look great on your table whilst you’re tucking into Christmas dinner.

    Designed to protect surfaces from hot plates, it can also be used decoratively.

    Our trivet features a handcrafted penguin design that adds a touch of winter magic to your home. The penguin is intricately detailed with rosy cheeks, joyful eyes, and matching Santa hat and scarf to give it that festive flair. Designed to withstand the hottest of dishes, this trivet will protect your countertops and tables from heat damage. Our felt is thick and durable, ensuring long-lasting use.

    The felt is handmade from sustainable wool using traditional methods. Instead of weaving the wool, heat, moisture, and pressure are applied to entangle the fibres and create the beautiful material. The vibrant colours are created using only natural, colourfast dyes.

    Due to the handmade nature of these products each one is unique, but loveliness comes as standard.

    This product has been made by Hatale (which means ‘made by hand’ in Napali), a fantastic Fair Trade group which established in 2000.

    Their factory is based in the foothills of Kathmandu and employs over 300 people, with more than 80% comprising of women from nearby villages. Their main objective is to develop traditional Nepali craft industries so they can improve the living standard of the artisans and their families from rural areas, through Fair Trade practises.

    Hatale manufactures felt from 100% sheep wool, and uses lab tested Azo free dyes only. They manufacture handmade felt, not machine made, therefore their products are manufactured with the highest level of quality, with respect for the environment, and to corporate social responsibility standards.
