Stunning handmade decorative bird wall hanging with individual birds, each with a small bell, separated with small colourful beads.
These bird hangings make a lovely alternative gift, something you certainly wouldn't find on the High Street!
They make an ideal door hanging and are traditional in Indian households when welcoming guests.
Suitable for use indoor and outdoor, however we only recommend using our totas outside on a sunny day. Do not leave outside in the rain or in adverse weather.

Handmade from recycled cotton rags, each bird is individually sewn and threaded on to the string, making each one unique.
Please note: Our bird totas are not intended for use as a toy, and contain small pieces so are unsuitable for children.

Please note that we send our pillow boxes flat to keep them safe, but if it is going to the recipent then just let us know and we will pop the tota into the pillow box for you.

The birds are approximately 30 x 20 mm in size. There is also a lovely bell at the bottom.

Made from
Each tota is expertly crafted from cotton rags recycled from the Indian garment industry. Sequins are hand stitched to their sides before they are threaded on to a string, with small, coloured beads separating each one. The tota is then finished with a small bell, announcing the arrival of your loved ones with a welcoming ring.
Our colourful rugs and bell totas are handmade in partnership with the fantastic Barefoot College. Established in 1972, the organisation was formed with the goal of helping rural communities become self-sufficient and sustainable.
Working within the areas of solar energy, water, education, health care, rural handicrafts, communication, female empowerment, and wasteland development, they’ve certainly achieved their goal! We’ve seen for ourselves the incredible work they’re doing and are truly inspired by their organisation.
