About Me

Calendars and planners for design lovers

In Holland, every household has a 'birthday calendar' somewhere on the wall (usually by the loo) - where they keep all their family & friends birthdays, year after year. I wanted to have one for my home, as I'm notoriously bad at remembering birthdays until FB reminds me of them (too late!). I simply couldn't find one I loved, so I designed one, had a few printed and the feedback was lovely. This was the start of the journey.

During lockdown, I've developed my design skills and have married my love for paper and lists with my love for design and obsession with interiors - and Once Upon a Tuesday was born.

Starting with the ongoing perpetual calendars, I have branched out to annual calendars and the feedback has been brilliant. I work with a local, family-run printer here in Cornwall and print everything on recycled and recyclable paper. All my packaging is minimal and completely plastic-free.

THE ENVIRONMENT

We need to make a living. But we want to do it without harm. We want to do all the right things and feel proud of everything we earn.

I get all supplies from small, local businesses. Our printers, for example, are just down the road, and they are a small business employing local people. Anyone we work with, we are sure to pay well.

We make paper goods. And we're very aware that we want to make items that add value to the world and take as little away from it. Everything is printed on recycled and recyclable paper.

Our packaging is minimal and we use recycled packaging and recycled brown paper tape. We consider everything we add to our parcels and keep it to a minimum - whilst still making you smile when it arrives with you.

We consider the environment in everything we do... we use tea bags without plastics. We never use plastic water bottles. We buy loose fruit. We bring our own takeaway coffee cups when we get takeaways - the little things :).
