A timeless strategy game, reimagined as a statement piece.
Designed by Swedish brand Printworks, the Athena chess set brings a contemporary Scandinavian perspective to one of the world’s most iconic games. A high-gloss lacquered chess board is paired with sculptural wooden pieces, creating a set that feels playful, elegant and distinctly design-led.
Made to be seen as much as played, Athena is the kind of chess set you can leave out on a coffee table, shelf or sideboard rather than packing away after each game. Its polished finish and bold, modern form give it the presence of a decorative object, while still offering all the enjoyment of a classic strategy game.
Perfect for relaxed evenings at home, hosting friends or adding a little competition to a dinner party, the Athena chess set encourages moments of connection, conversation and slow play.
It also makes a thoughtful gift for chess players, design lovers and anyone who appreciates beautifully considered home accessories. Ideal as a birthday gift, housewarming present, Christmas gift or special present for someone who enjoys games with a strong design point of view.
