A Customised Heart shaped Map Print on wood, made to order with your specified map location, natural wood or whitewashed and framed or unframed.
This personalised special location map artwork is an eye-catching gift for a Wedding, Anniversary, Engagement or Valentines Day, a perfect present to mark a special time and place. The artwork is created with the map centred on any worldwide location. Simply enter a place name and postcode in the options menu when ordering.
Each map varies but as a rule the maps cover an area of 1km x 1km, so please bear this in mind when selecting a location.
Variations
The print technique I use works best with black and white images, giving the artwork a gorgeous timeless look. The birch plywood squares I use are from a sustainable source. The natural variations of colour, pattern and grain add to the character of the handmade nature of the item, making each map a truly unique ‘one off’.
You can choose to have the wood colour left natural or to be given a light whitewash of paint before printing. The whitewash gives the finished article a brighter appearance as there is more contrast between the background and the map print.
This item is small enough to stand on a shelf or mantlepiece but can also be hung on the wall. It is supplied with a brass hanger for easy hanging from a picture pin or nail. I also offer this item framed in a simple white or black wood profile. This gives the artwork a contemporary style and adds to the aesthetic of the finished print. Simply select Framing via the options menu when placing your order.

The wood used for the unframed print is 17.5cm x 17.5cm x 1cm.
The wood used for the framed print is also 17.5cm x 17.5cm but it is 2cm thick.
The frame adds 4.5cm x 4.5cm x 1cm onto the original wood size therefore the overall size of the framed artwork is 22cm x 22cm x 3cm.
Packaging: All of the protective packaging used by Northern Logic to ship orders is made from recycled paper based materials, and can be recycled in your household paper & card recycling bin.

The maps of locations in the UK are sourced with permission from Ordnance Survey OS 1:25,000 or OS 1:50,000 Mapping @ Crown copyright and database rights 2024. Ordnance Survey licence No: 100054681. For all other worldwide locations the maps used to create this product are licenced from Digital Wisdom Inc. or sourced from OpenStreetMap.org.

Please make sure that you have created a customer account and are not checking out as a guest or you will not recieve my messages. To view your jpg please log into your account on the notonthehighstreet.com website, go to the 'my orders' section and then click the 'contact the seller' button on the relevant order. The jpg will appear at the top of the discussion page as a link which will open when you click on it.
