ABOUT ME

Art that uplifts and inspires

My name is Nichola; I am an illustrator and painter based in Belfast. I started my business in 2020 during COVID after graduating in Graphic Design and Illustration. I have now been running my business full-time and I am very grateful that it continues to grow every day.

My work is a source of healing for me; the words can sometimes be drawn from my journals, songs, books, or even TV shows. I draw landscapes mainly because I find peace and comfort in being outdoors in nature. The colours are not as much inspired by the landscape but more by my mood, that's why you will see my work change with the seasons. I like dogs more than people, but sometimes you'll see my illustrated characters within my work. The main focus is to create art that heals, and if that brings you joy and comfort along the way, I am happy.

My Design Process

It all starts in my sketchbooks......

All my designs begin in my sketchbook, where I use a mix of paint, pencil, and crayons. I like to bring my ideas to life on paper first before scanning them in and playing around digitally. You'll always find me in my studio in Belfast, covered in paint, usually listening to Chappell Roan or Taylor Swift.
