A brushed aluminium plate is located in a cut out in the lid and stamped with your own special message or dedication. This complements and contrasts with the exterior finish to stunning effect.
The aluminium plaque in the lid is stamped (rather than engraved) with your personalised message. Please note that stamping is all capital/ uppercase letters (which looks great!).The box can be personalised with A-Z, 0-9 and simple punctuation (like commas, full-stops, hyphens, exclamation marks), but we cannot do # () or symbols / emoticons.

- Natural wood box has two brass hinges and one clasp on each box
- White grain box has a horn catch
- Personalised plaque is corrosion-resistant aluminium which has been aged to a soft, matt finish.
- The plaque is not 'perfect' or supposed to be, but is in direct contrast to the vintage wood, so may have dents, marks scratches and imperfections.
- Stamped message (not engraved) has character rather than being machine perfect.
- Plaque is hand stamped creating a utilitarian appearance
- The box is purposefully aged and antiqued so will have imperfections in the wood, splits, holes, scratches, patches (keys) and marks to give it that vintage appearance, each box will be unique!
- Colour of box may vary depending on the batch of wood
- The inside of the box matches the outside, however we do not sand the inside so it may have rough patches. Due to this it can pick up more of the wax in areas giving a patchy look.
