Handmade Salt And Pepper Mills In English Black Walnut

As with all my Mills, the English Black Walnut used is individually picked from our stock of Kiln Dried timbers, then traditionally turned on a lathe into this beautifully balanced grinder.....I have used the same two-step process to make all my grinders for nearly 20 years, they are first hollowed out and turned from kiln dried timber, I then allow a few weeks for them to stabilise inside, before turning on the lathe again, finishing the final shape and fitting the Ceramic CrushGrind Mechanism. Using this method, I can make the connection between lid and base very accurate fit, without any risk of it jamming.

As mentioned, each of our grinders feature the top quality Danish Crushgrind internal grinding mechanism - the same Crushgrind mechanism used by many popular commercial manufacturers - A Ceramic grinder mechanism, which is easily adjustable, from a fine grind to a nice chunky coarse grind. Crushgrind also guarantee their ceramic mechanisms for 25 years, we will honour that and pass that guarantee on to our customers.

All in all, a bespoke addition to the table and quite possibly the perfect gift.

The perfectly formed standard dimensions are: 65mm wide at the base, 58mm at the top and 170mm tall but if you'd like them a little smaller or bigger that can be done too... please message me if interested.
