Medical emergencies can happen at anytime and anywhere, and you may not be with people who know you.
Our Leather and Silver Medic Alert Bracelet can be a vital source of information for first response and paramedics if you are unable to communicate, allowing them to treat your situation quickly and effectively.
The price includes the bracelet and one silver medic band, but more can be added.
We can deep engrave up to 25 characters (including spaces) on each Silver Medic Band, allowing full details to be available to caregivers and first responders.
The standard clasp is stainless steel with a magnetic closure that makes it easier to take the bracelet on and off with one hand. If you need a clasp without a magnet, for instance, if you have a heart pacemaker fitted, then you will want to order the twist clasp, however, without a magnet, it is more fiddly to put on single-handed.
Variations
You can add your name, medical conditions, food or drug allergies, and emergency contact details. We recommend that you consult your GP to establish what they feel is important to include on the Medic Alert Bracelet.

Dimensions
The leather is approximately 5mm thick and the sterling silver medic bands are 5mm wide.
The bracelets are made to order, so please ensure you order the correct size. The bracelet is not adjustable. Please measure your wrist bone and add a little for comfort (1.5-2cm is about right, depending on whether you like a snug or looser fit).

How to care for your jewellery
Silver and other metals are prone to tarnish, this oxidising process is a natural occurrence but some substances in our daily lives will speed the process up. Anti- Bacterial Gels. soap, hairspray, perfume, food, latex, perspiration and even the natural oils on our hands can tarnish metals more quickly. Some may even find their skin is more reactive with metals and find copper or silver tarnishes very quickly, sometimes within days. If this is the case you could apply a barrier wax or a clear lacquer on the metal surface so that it isn’t in direct contact with the skin.
Silver Tarnish does NOT mean that the silver is faulty or substandard, we do not offer refunds if your jewellery becomes tarnished for ANY reason.
We recommend that you use a good quality jeweller's silver cloth regularly as part of your jewellery cleaning routine for precious metals & we'll include a polishing cloth with your jewellery which you will find useful for removing the cloudy film caused by perfumes etc on silver.
You should always remove jewellery before showering or swimming as metals can react with chemicals and chlorine. Never allow leather to get wet. Wet leather will stay damp inside and deteriorate from within, this will loosen the bond within the clasp and affect the strength and look of the leather. As with all jewellery, straps, links and clasps can be opened or broken if not treated with care.
