This product is hand finished from steel which will have not been exposed to the elements and is in a bare metal state. This will allow you to paint the product if you choose to do so. It may have some marks from the cutting process which will not affect its weathered rustic look. Once you have exposed the item to the weather it will very quickly take on a unique rusty patina.
