Gorgeously wearable and dainty nature-inspired jewellery, entirely handmade in the UK
Welcome to Mojo and the Maker, the home of beautiful, modern sterling silver jewellery for women and girls, hand-crafted by a real person (me Sarah Jane Whittaker), in my sunny Shropshire hills studio.
Like a magpie, I've always been easily distracted by shiny silver, so it was inevitable I'd be drawn to a life of designing, making and sharing the jewellery that I just couldn't find on the High Street.
It takes many years to develop the skills needed to create great jewellery - sketching and planning ideas, forging, casting, texturing, sawing, and soldering silver and other metals, and mastering enamelling, filing, finishing and polishing jewellery - but it's joyful work.
The resulting jewellery makes perfect gifts, from signature Hewn Heart studs (available in a range of finishes) and sterling silver Textured Heart jewellery, to more contemporary pieces, often incorporating frosted or intentionally-distressed surfaces, and unusual matte or raw gemstones.
Explore - and enjoy!
Fields, sea and sky
Mojo and the Maker jewellery is strongly inspired by the natural beauty of our rural setting, and by the North Wales coastline, from the shapes of wind-whipped trees silhouetted on hilltops, to the weathered and wave-worn surfaces of seaside rusting metal or ocean-tumbled rocks.
Throughout the collection, you might notice a fascination with the effects of time, wear and weather on the natural and manmade world, and a slight obsession with creating texture on the surface of silver and other precious metals.
Silver is almost endlessly malleable (if you know how), and is wonderfully responsive - it's our favourite material to create dainty but striking jewellery to be worn with delight.
Unless you have selected Express Delivery (where available), UK orders are sent via Royal Mail Signed For® delivery and will require a signature on delivery. Unless you have previously opted-out of Royal Mail's Delivery to a Neighbour service (see royalmail.com/personal/receiving-mail/delivery-to-neighbour), Royal Mail may deliver your Signed For® item to a neighbour if you are out when delivery is attempted, or you may need to collect your parcel from your local delivery office or re-arrange delivery with Royal Mail. Please note that by ordering you are deemed to accept this. Royal Mail aims to deliver first class Signed For® items within 2 working days after posting, but these delivery timescales aren't guaranteed, and your order may occasionally take longer to reach you, especially at busy times of the year. Unfortunately, once your item has been posted, the exact delivery date is beyond my control.
Express Delivery orders (where available) are sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery™. Again, a signature is required by Royal Mail on delivery, and items should be delivered the next working day after posting. Please enquire about this service before ordering, if not available as a drop-down menu option on the product listing, if it's important to you that your order reaches you by a specific date, especially as many items are handmade to order for you, so our lead time (the time allowed for making your item) needs to be added to the shipping time.
International orders if you're outside the UK, your order will be sent via a tracked service where practicable, and if the shipping charge paid covers this. Orders shipped outside the UK may take considerably longer to arrive.
Urgent orders: if you need your jewellery shortly after the estimated delivery date specified on the product listing, or if your order is needed for a specific date or and important or special event (birthday, anniversary, etc), do please contact us before ordering, as we may be able to dispatch items sooner on request, or offer you the reassurance of Express Delivery at a reasonable extra cost.

Please read our delivery information carefully before ordering, and always check your order confirmation carefully as soon as you receive it (please especially double-check that the delivery address shown is correct).
Good things - like jewellery - come in small packages, and our work can be dainty, so please always check measurements given against a ruler, so you get a good sense of scale before ordering.
For hygiene reasons, reassuringly, our range of earrings and ear-studs for pierced ears may be sent in sealed see-through tamper-proof packaging. This enables you to inspect the earrings or ear-studs closely before you decide whether to break the seal. Please only break the seal if you intend to keep the jewellery, as earrings and ear-studs are not returnable if the tamper-proof seal has been broken or damaged. Your statutory rights are not affected.
