About Mojo & the Maker
Beautiful handmade jewellery, reflecting your soulful side
Mojo & the Maker is a range of exclusive small-edition designer jewellery by Sarah Jane Whittaker, a UK-based maker working predominantly with recycled silver. Sarah Jane's designs are natural, tactile and organic, expressed with her hallmark daintiness, sensitivity and simplicity.
Every piece of Mojo & the Maker Jewellery is individually handmade, going through a complex 9-stage process using both traditional and contemporary techniques before being polished and beautifully packaged.
Now based in the Shropshire hills, where she lives and works with her punk rocker husband and their 2 cats, Sarah Jane formerly taught silver jewellery bench skills at a jewellery school on the South coast, where she started producing her own exquisite jewellery, nearly 15 years ago.
With partly numb hands from longterm multiple sclerosis, Sarah Jane jokes that she can probably do most fine tasks more easily with jewellers' soldering tweezers than with her fingers.

Fields, sea and sky
Mojo and the Maker jewellery is strongly inspired by the natural beauty of our rural setting, and by the North Wales coastline, from the shapes of wind-whipped trees silhouetted on hilltops, to the weathered and wave-worn surfaces of seaside rusting metal or ocean-tumbled rocks.
Throughout the collection, you might notice a fascination with the effects of time, wear and weather on the natural and manmade world, and a slight obsession with creating texture on the surface of silver and other precious metals.
Silver is almost endlessly malleable (if you know how), and is wonderfully responsive - it's our favourite material to create dainty but striking jewellery to be worn with delight.

Delivery
Please note that by ordering from Mojo & the Maker, you are deemed to accept the following delivery information, and understand that you may need to collect your order or arrange redelivery if you miss the postman!
Mojo & the Maker's UK orders are sent by Royal Mail Signed For® or Special Delivery delivery and will require a signature on delivery. Unless you have previously opted-out of Royal Mail's Delivery to a Neighbour service (see royalmail.com/personal/receiving-mail/delivery-to-neighbour), Royal Mail may deliver a Signed For® item to a neighbour if you are out when delivery is attempted, or (for Signed-for or Special Delivery®) you may need to collect your parcel from your local delivery office or visit the Royal Mail website to arrange delivery for a day when you will be in. Royal Mail aims to deliver first class Signed For® items within 2-3 working days after posting, and Special Delivery® items within 1-2 days after posting, but these delivery timescales aren't guaranteed, and your order may occasionally take longer to reach you, especially at busy times of the year. Unfortunately, once your item has been posted, the exact delivery date is beyond our control.
Urgent orders: if you need your jewellery shortly after the estimated delivery date specified on the product listing, or if your order is needed for a specific date or and important or special event (birthday, anniversary, etc), do please contact us before ordering, as we may be able to dispatch items sooner on request, or offer you the reassurance of Express Delivery at a reasonable extra cost.
International orders: if you're outside the UK, your order will be sent via a tracked service where practicable, and if the shipping charge paid covers this. Orders shipped outside the UK may take considerably longer to arrive.

Please read our delivery information carefully before ordering, and always check your order confirmation carefully as soon as you receive it (please especially double-check that the delivery address shown is correct, and that you are happy with the estimated delivery date).
Good things - like jewellery - come in small packages, and our work can be dainty, so please always check measurements given against a ruler, so you get a good sense of scale before ordering.
For hygiene reasons, reassuringly, our range of earrings and ear-studs for pierced ears may be sent in sealed see-through tamper-proof packaging. This enables you to inspect the earrings or ear-studs closely before you decide whether to break the seal. Please only break the seal if you intend to keep the jewellery, as earrings and ear-studs are not returnable if the tamper-proof seal has been broken or damaged, for hygiene reasons. Your statutory rights are not affected.
