Hello there!
Miss Meaney’s Ltd was founded in 2016 by designer maker Emily Meaney, aka Me (*does a little wave*). I'm based in Essex and proudly run my small business while juggling my full-time job.
I found wildlife and nature fascinating as a child and growing up i've always found myself drawn back to the seascapes and countryside I enjoyed as a litt'len. All my collections take inspiration from the natural landscapes, seascapes and British wildlife found across our soils.
Every element in each design is my own original artwork that has been hand painted in a combination of watercolours and inks. This is then digitally reproduced onto 100% natural fabric such as cotton and recycled paper. I use top quality printing manufacturers in the UK, all using sustainable sourced materials - something i'm very proud to be a part of and worked hard to fight for!

Why Meaney?
Miss Meaney is my full name, Emily Meaney. But why choose if for my brand? Sentimental because it's my name you may think that's why I choose it, but in all honesty it took me a long while to feel comfortable with my name.
When growing up my surname had a negative response, I used to be called a 'Meanie', or 'Meanie by name Meanie by nature', or when my sister and I walked down the corridor at little school, the school receptionist would say 'here comes eenie, meanie, minie mo... who's mo & who's meanie?'... why would any kid/person want to be associated with a hurtful name?! ??
It wasn't until I was a College and things changed... a tutor of mine said, I had a great surname and I should do something with it!! It never actually accrued to me to look at my name with a positive attitude!
I'm not going to get my name in the history books, as lovely as the idea is, but it become my name for my Brand, which to me is a unique ??
So my name now has a new Meaning ;)
