The Mishanto story is a gripping tale of survival and intrigue. It begins in 1932 in the Emirate of Bukhara, situated on the Silk Road in 19th century Russia. As a non-Communist Misha Abram was ‘taken’ by the Red Army to Siberian gulag. He survived and subsequently his grandchildren, Tony and Joanne traded in diamonds, precious and semi-precious stones, fine period and bespoke jewellery.
Fast forward to 2015 and the genesis of the Mishanto brand where the true value of experience can be appreciated through the quality, balance, feel and finish of every piece of jewellery. The ranges Tony has developed are based ostensibly on the values and ethos of the business and are accessible to the widest audience.
During his internship Misha managed to keep hold of his overcoat where he had sewn two gemstones in his pocket so to further demonstrate the Mishanto heritage every piece of jewellery contains at least one gemstone and is presented in unique packaging reminiscent of his coat pocket.

Tony is a graduate of the Gemological Institue of America with qualifications in diamond grading, precious and semi precious gemstones and jewellery design. Combined with extensive dealers and suppliers worldwide, Mishanto is able to create fabulous jewellery that has been researched and prepared to the finest details.
