Sometimes bold, sometimes understated, often humorous, but always engaging, my aim is to create affordable contemporary art which fit in any home.
Hello, I’m Mandy Maria, a multi-disciplined illustrator and designer from Aberdeen, living and working in the sometimes sunny city of Glasgow with my husband, our son ‘cheeky chops’, and Caper the wildcat.
I’ve been creative from an early age, using paint brushes, pens & pencils, and anything else that came to hand. I’ve always worked with bold colours and for a long time, my main inspiration has been the human form, which is maybe down to my Italian heritage! This continues to be true, but my practice and inspiration have developed to include an appreciation of nature and a love of drawing textures & the smallest details.

My technique is inspired by traditional printmaking techniques, and whether it’s digital with a stylus or paper with a pen & pencil, everything I do is hand-drawn.
All work is printed and hand signed by me in my studio. Each signed giclee is printed on archival quality Somerset 225gsm radiant white archival paper, which is constructed with 100% cotton, acid-free material and printed using pigment ink.
In addition to my print collections, I also create commissions which focus on weddings and pregnancy, as well as portraits making them the most unique gift.
