A celebration of art and botanic through exquisitely detailed, truly handmade jewellery.

- Hi! I'm Laura. -

Every item here is handmade by me at my studio in Bristol.

I have loved jewellery making since I can remember and never thought this could become anything more than a hobby, until in 2021 I took a leap of faith and created Mamie Coco Atelier.

I am truly in love with starting with some wire, a bunch of tools, and gemstones and ending up with something beautiful and unique that brings me - and you - joy!

- What inspires me -

My jewellery is inspired by botanical nature, colour and art. I am an abstract painter lover, and this is something I definitely bring to my jewellery by combining colours in harmony to bring you the feel of what has originally inspired me.

I believe in jewellery that is truly handmade, ethical, original, comfortable, good quality and lasts and hope my jewellery empowers those who wear it.

Mamie Coco is a tribute to my Mamie (nana) Colette whom I love and miss dearly.

My jewellery is a celebration of the craft and is truly handmade by me, in my studio.

I source all precious metals in the UK and use recycled sterling silver and gold wherever possible.

Gemstones and pearls are hand selected to ensure the highest standard.

- What is 14k gold-filled? -

Gold-filled involves mechanically bonding a layer of solid gold (from 9 to 14k) to a base metal, usually high-quality jeweller's brass. This process creates a permanent bond so the gold won’t flake, peel or fall off. By law, gold filled items must have 5% gold in total weight, while gold plated items usually contain less than 0.05%.

I use 14k gold-filled, resulting in items that are an affordable alternative to solid gold and, unlike gold plated, can last a lifetime with the appropriate care.
