We started Malcolm & Gerald in 2015. It was our eldest son’s (Alex) Birthday, he was having a superhero party and he wanted something cool and unique to wear.

Having worked in fashion for many years we designed him a Personalised Kapow t-shirt (our little one, Charlie had a matching one).

The boy’s friends loved the t-shirts and we started thinking of more personalised designs. This is how our first collection was born.

The brand needed a name and because it started with the boys we asked them to think of a name. They chose to name it after their beloved comfort toys, Malcolm (the monkey) and Gerald (the giraffe).

The essence of the collection is really simple, the designs are quirky and each one is personalised. Most importantly each item has to be approved by our chief testers – Alex and Charlie.

Since the early days we have added baby and adult items to the collection, so the whole family are official testers now!
