Little Beau Sheep came into the world when we moved our young family into a top floor flat whist major working was being carried out on our house. As any parent to young children will know, there is a lot of washing to be done! I found myself elbow-deep in washing with no outside space for drying laundry (and very little inside space for that matter) and the tumble dryer became my guilty indulgence. In an effort to speed things up, I invested in plastic dryer balls. Besides being unbearably noisy, they broke and just added to the world’s unwanted plastic problem.

Inspired by the sheep that I could see grazing on Ilkley Moor, as an avid 'felter' I started making the laundry balls out of different wool (nature's natural fabric softener) and to made them look like the different breeds of sheep that the wool had come from – and Little Beau Sheep was born : )
