A finely crafted papercut illustration of the whole family, specially made to order by Laura.
A bespoke paper portrait captures all of the personalities and intricacies that make up a happy family. With bright colours, clean shapes and neat details all made out of paper, these tiny little versions of the people closest to you will be treasured for a long time to come. Carefully designed and hand cut by Laura in her Glasgow studio, each piece takes time and patience and is all done with a simple pair of scissors. The novelty scale of the illustrations as well as the detail and care put into in every layer make these portraits truly special and completely unique.
After you've placed your order I'll be in touch shortly to ask you a few questions about the specifics of your paper piece. Simply upload a good quality photo to your order enquiry (see intructions below) of each person you'd like to have illustrated; preferably from side on but a mug shot also works, so that I can get the best likeness. This will also be an opportunity to specify any colours you'd like to be included for clothing, or any other special details - no details are too small!
HOW TO UPLOAD YOUR PHOTOS:
1. Log on to your notonthehighstreet.com customer account
2. Click your name at the top of the page and go to ‘My Orders’
3. Find the relevant order and click the blue ‘Contact Seller’ button

Coloured paper by Canford, Maya and Murano, smallest details painted in gouache paint, assembled with strong glue using a pin for maximum neatness and minimum visibility. Pieces are delicate but can be handled carefully, the strong glue typically provides a lasting hold.
The sizes of the paper-cut portraits vary, but each individual person is typically made at 2" high. Please specify in your enquiry if you'd like your piece made to a certain size or to fit a specific frame of your own. The frame option pictured is 5"x7" in a sleek copper finish with a simple stand.
